The Posters and Demos Track of EKAW 2026 provides an international forum for presenting late-breaking results, ongoing work, and innovative systems in the field of Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge Management.
The track complements the main conference call, promoting informal discussions and hands-on interaction, enabling participants to exchange ideas, receive feedback, and initiate collaborations. As in previous editions, the session encourages engagement between researchers, practitioners, and industry stakeholders.
In line with EKAW 2026’s theme, “New Frontiers in Knowledge Engineering”, we particularly welcome contributions exploring emerging paradigms, innovative or “blue-sky” ideas, and interdisciplinary approaches to knowledge acquisition, representation, and management.
All submissions are intended to convey a scientific result or work in progress and should not be advertisements for commercial software packages.
Posters & Demos Submission Deadline: July 20, 2026

Camera-Ready Submission Deadline: Sep 4, 2026
Conference Days: Sep 29 - Oct 1, 2026
We invite submissions related (but not limited) to:
Knowledge representation, modeling, and reasoning
Knowledge acquisition and extraction
Knowledge graphs and semantic technologies
Neuro-symbolic Artificial Intelligence
Integration of knowledge engineering with (multimodal) language models
Knowledge management and governance
Natural language processing
Human-centered and cognitive aspects of knowledge engineering
Knowledge emerging from user interaction and (social) networks
Ethics, trust, privacy and explainability in knowledge representation and reasoning
Applications in domains such as e-health, digital humanities, cultural heritage, robotics
Submissions up to 5 pages (excluding references) written in English are invited for submission via Easychair
Submissions must be in PDF, formatted in the style of CEUR workshop proceedings (Overleaf template). Accepted posters and demos will be indepublished
Authors should clearly explain how their poster or demo relates to the EKAW topics of interest. For demo submissions, it is highly recommended to include a link to an online demonstration or video. Submissions should also specify what will be presented during the demo (e.g., datasets, system features, or functionalities). Posters and demos that are linked to a paper accepted at the main conference track should explicitly mention and reference the main track paper.
Each accepted demo or poster contribution requires at least one full conference registration at the regular rate.
Large Language Models Policy of EKAW-26: We adopt the principles and guidelines stated in the ACM Policy on Authorship specifically about “Criteria for Authorship” regarding the use of Generative AI technologies for authoring papers:
“Generative AI tools and technologies, such as ChatGPT, may not be listed as authors of an ACM published Work.
The use of generative AI tools and technologies to create content is permitted but must be fully disclosed in the Work. For example, the authors could include the following statement in the Acknowledgements section of the Work: ChatGPT was utilized to generate sections of this Work, including text, tables, graphs, code, data, citations, etc. If you are uncertain about the need to disclose the use of a particular tool, err on the side of caution, and include a disclosure in the acknowledgements section of the Work.
Basic word processing systems that recommend and insert replacement text, perform spelling or grammar checks and corrections, or systems that do language translations are to be considered exceptions to this disclosure requirement and are generally permitted and need not be disclosed in the Work.”
